Franchisee Spotlight: Jyoti Ram

Introducing Jyoti Ram, the dynamic franchise owner of AA Plan since March 2020.

Originally hailing from Punjab, India, Jyoti has spent an impressive 13 years in the beautiful land of New Zealand. His journey began when he came here to pursue his studies in Business Management. Recently, in 2022, he tied the knot with his beloved wife, who happens to be a dedicated Cardiac nurse.

Jyoti's career path has been as diverse as his background. From being a truck driver to a Parking warden and even a talented Chef, he has experienced a wide range of professions. His journey with Jani-King started when he joined as a staff member with his cousin a Wellington franchisee owner. Jyoti is also a proud father to a lovely daughter from a previous relationship.

Working for Jani-King has been a fulfilling experience for Jyoti. Not only does it provide him with a consistent income, but it also allows him to employ and support his family members. When his wife arrived in New Zealand, he was able to provide her with employment and financial stability while she pursued her qualifications in the country. Currently, Jyoti manages a team of two dedicated staff members.

Throughout his journey, Jyoti has received unwavering support from Christine, who has always been there to assist him with any queries or concerns. Richard Brain has also played a significant role in providing valuable solutions and guidance.

Driven by his determination to succeed, Jyoti has big dreams for the future. He aims to continue growing his business and providing support for his family. In addition to his franchise ownership, he also engages in Uber driving during the day. Recently, he ventured into the flood restoration industry, partnering with a couple of his plumber friends in March 2023. Although this new business has had a slow start, Jyoti remains optimistic and understands that it may take some time to establish.

Thanks to his association with Jani-King, Jyoti has been able to fulfill his dream of purchasing a house. Banks have recognized the stability and growth potential of his business, making it a favorable investment option. As a testament to his success, Jyoti proudly purchased a brand new Tesla, symbolizing his achievements and hard work.

Looking ahead, Jyoti envisions even greater accomplishments. He aspires to potentially purchase a Pizza franchise or even establish his own Indian restaurant one day, adding his unique touch to the culinary landscape.

Outside of work, Jyoti enjoys staying active and exploring the wonders of New Zealand. His hobbies include going to the gym, mountain climbing, driving, and visiting the country's captivating tourist attractions.

When it comes to his favorite destinations in New Zealand, Rotorua holds a special place in Jyoti's heart. With its abundance of adrenaline-pumping activities, he can't resist the thrill of the luge. He also used to frequent the Waiwera hot pools and slides, although he is saddened by their recent closure.
